Transportation of animals
Pets and birds may be transported in the passenger cabin (as carry-on baggage) and in the baggage compartments of the aircraft (as checked baggage);
Only dogs, cats and birds may be transported as carry-on baggage and/or baggage. Any other animals may not be transported.
Brachycephalic dogs (English Bulldog, Boston Terrier, French Bulldog, Shih Tzu, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, American Bulldog, Pekingese, Brussels Griffon, Pug, German Boxer, Dogue de Bordeaux, etc.) are not accepted for carriage in the baggage compartment of an aircraft. Such dogs may only be carried as carry-on baggage (in the passenger cabin of an aircraft) or on a passenger seat, taking into account the requirements of paragraph 4.11.9. Rules for the Air Carriage of Passengers, Baggage and Cargo.
Dogs of aggressive or fighting breeds are transported only in the baggage compartment, regardless of the age and weight of the animal, and only in containers with a reinforced structure.
The passenger is obliged to inform the Carrier or its authorized air ticket sales agent about the transportation of pets/birds when booking the transportation or purchasing a passenger Ticket. Or the passenger must notify the Carrier in advance - not less than 72 hours before departure - about the possibility of providing the service for the transportation of an animal. Also, permission from the countries of arrival or transit for international air transportation is required;
Animals may only be transported at the Airline's ticket office or its authorized ticket sales agent.
Pets may only be transported if accompanied by an adult passenger (at least eighteen years of age);
The carrier has the right to refuse carriage to a passenger with an animal, if the carriage has not been booked and confirmed by the carrier;
A passenger accompanying an animal or bird during carriage by air must have and present, when registering a passenger ticket, valid documents (veterinary certificate) on the health of the animal or bird, issued by competent veterinary authorities. For international air transportation, a passenger accompanying an animal must present an international veterinary certificate issued on the basis of a veterinary certificate and registered with the veterinary service of the border control point, a certificate of the breeding value of the animal for export, and documents required by the veterinary authorities of the country of arrival or transit. For a flight within the Russian Federation, it is necessary to have a veterinary passport with marks on rabies vaccination, which was received no earlier than 12 months and no later than 20 days before departure; on a clinical examination of the animal by a veterinarian no earlier than 14 days before departure. Check that the passenger has permission from the customs and veterinary services to export the animal for international transportation;
Check that the veterinary certificate is available for domestic transportation;
Check that the container (cage, carrier bag) is in compliance with the transportation requirements;
Weigh the animal together with the container (cage);
If the animal's weight does not exceed 10 kg and the passenger's ticket contains a condition for the carriage of the animal, and the PNR contains an SSR for the carriage of the animal (type and weight of the animal), then the animal may be accepted for carriage in the passenger cabin;
If the animal's weight exceeds 10 kg and the passenger's ticket contains a condition for the carriage of the animal, and the PNR contains an SSR for the carriage of the animal (type and weight of the animal), then the animal may be accepted for carriage only in the baggage compartment of the aircraft in the passenger's container (cage);
When transporting animals and birds in the passenger cabin or baggage compartments, the weight of animals and birds is not included in the free baggage allowance and is paid for as excess baggage, taking into account the weight of the container (cage), in accordance with the rules for the application of tariffs and is issued with a receipt for payment of excess baggage;
Animals and birds are accepted for carriage in the aircraft cabin provided that the passenger takes full responsibility for them;
The carrier shall not be liable for damage caused by animals to third parties;
The passenger shall comply with all requirements of the conditions for the carriage of animals (birds) and shall compensate the carrier for all losses and additional expenses in the event of damage caused by animals or birds to the aircraft, baggage of other passengers, health and / or life of other passengers;
Domestic livestock, wild, predatory, experimental animals, reptiles, rodents, insects, reptiles, bees and fish seed are not accepted for carriage as baggage;
The carrier reserves the right to refuse carriage of animals and birds.
To transport animals and birds, the passenger must provide a container (cage) that meets the following requirements:
Be large enough for the animal to stand, lie down and turn around. The size of the container (cage) must not exceed 102*72*76 cm. (length × width × height), the weight of the animal together with the container (cage) must not exceed 50 kg.;
Have a strong frame and joints so that the animal cannot chew or scratch them and escape;
Should be made of non-toxic materials, be safe for the animal;
Should be ventilated on three sides, the main ventilation should be at the top of the container (cage). The ventilation holes must be of such a size that the animal cannot stick its nose or paws through them, and must not have sharp edges or protrusions;
Be clean, with a waterproof bottom and a sufficient amount of moisture-absorbing material (absorbent bedding);
Have a rim around the perimeter of the bottom of the container (cage) to prevent spillage of absorbent material. The use of straw as bedding is prohibited;
Have handles for carrying the container (cage).
Transporting animals in a wire container is prohibited.
The container (cage) can be made of hard plastic, fiberglass, metal, welded mesh or wood.
When transporting birds, a closed container (cage) must be used, which must be covered with a dense, light-proof fabric that prevents light from reaching it
2 hours before departure, the passenger must feed and water the animal, and be sure to inspect it.
No more than 3 (three) animals may be transported in the baggage compartments of an aircraft on one flight. Transportation of antagonist animals (cat, dog) in the same baggage compartment is not permitted.
The carrier is not liable for bodily injury, loss, delay in delivery, illness or death of animals and birds, as well as in the event of refusal to import them or their transportation through any country or territory.
Transportation of pets and birds in the aircraft cabin under the passenger seat in front
Cats, dogs and birds are permitted to be transported in the aircraft cabin when accompanied by an adult, capable passenger, in containers (cages, carrier bags) not exceeding the dimensions of 45*30*25 cm (length × width × height).
The weight of the animal together with the carrier bag must not exceed 10 kg.
The container (cage, carrier bag) with the animal must be placed strictly under the seat in front. It must not be located near emergency exits, in aisles or on overhead bins.
The animal must be inside a closed container for the entire time it is in the passenger cabin of the aircraft (during the flight, taxiing, landing, disembarking).
The bottom of the container (cage or bag) must be waterproof and covered with absorbent material, there must be a side around the perimeter of the bottom to prevent the absorbent material from spilling. Bird cages must be covered with thick, opaque fabric.
Transportation of animals and birds is permitted only in the economy class cabin. Transportation of animals and birds is prohibited in the business class cabin. It is also prohibited to transport animals and birds in seats located in rows near emergency exits.
No more than 6 (six) containers with animals may be transported in the cabin of an aircraft on one flight under the passenger seat in front.
Transportation of pets and birds in the aircraft cabin on a separate seat
A guide dog accompanying a visually impaired passenger is transported in the aircraft cabin without a container, free of charge, in addition to the established free baggage allowance, subject to the following conditions:
Appropriate training, as evidenced by the availability of a training certificate guide dog;
The animal must have a collar, leash and muzzle;
The animal must be placed at the feet of the owner, the guide dog must be tied to the seat at the feet of the passenger;
Feeding guide dogs during check-in and during the flight is prohibited;
Seats for a passenger accompanied by a guide dog are provided at the end of the aircraft cabin;
The animal must not be located near emergency exits or in the aisles.
The carrier limits the number of animals transported on one flight in the
cabin of the aircraft. No more than 8 (eight) animals may be transported in
the cabin of the aircraft on one flight (2 on the passenger seat of the
aircraft, 6 under the passenger seat). No more than 3 (three) animals may be
transported in the baggage compartment of an aircraft on one flight. Carriage
of antagonist animals (cat, dog) in one baggage compartment is prohibited.
The carrier reserves the right to limit the number of animals/birds
transported on one flight depending on the aircraft type, flight route,
commercial load, etc.
Carriage of animals and birds is permitted only in the economy class cabin. In the business class cabin, transportation of animals and birds is prohibited.
In case of non-compliance by passengers with the requirements for the transportation of animals by air (in the cabin, in the baggage compartment of the aircraft), the carrier refuses such transportation.
